The Observatory
The Observatory is where Aporia delves deeper.
It includes everything available in The Room, and adds a body of extensive long-form work. Here you’ll find extended essays and hours-long audio and video explorations, presented in a calm, polished, and organized way. This is an ongoing collection of deep, sustained work meant to take ideas as far as they can be taken.
Much of the work in the Observatory is designed to be actively listened to and absorbed over time. These are pieces you can live with throughout the day while walking, doing the dishes, driving, or moving through everyday routines, as well as work you can return to when you sit down and give it your full attention. The format allows ideas to stay with you across hours, expanding your thinking and deepening your understanding as you move through them.
The Observatory also keeps you closely connected to the direction of Aporia. Members here receive priority consideration for submissions. Ideas and questions from The Room are always read and taken seriously, but Observatory submissions are reviewed first, giving members a greater role in shaping which topics are explored next and how deeply they are carried through.
The Observatory is for those who want ideas to stay with them, shape how they think, and be part of the work as it unfolds.
